Audience Feedback

Today, Lauren and I showed our latest edit of our music video to our target audience. We gave everyone a short survey, with a series of questions including - how effective did you find our music video, how effective did you find the colour scheme and would you watch this music video? Once received all of our audience feedback we created a bar graph so we could visually see our data and show us the areas we need to improve.

Final Wesbite

Using the website 'Wix' we created a website as part of our ancillary task. We found using the website very effective as well as easy to use. We were able to choose from multiple templates which we could then edit to fit the synergy and style of our product, by adding slide shows, images, personalised text and music.

Font for Website

Today we continued editing our website. To ensure we maintained the synergy of our products we made sure we used the same font on both ancillary tasks- our website and magazine article. However on the website 'wix' which we used they did not have the font we wanted. Therefore we had to import the right font from another website.

Very First rough cut

After doing our filming Lauren and I spent the lesson importing and roughly placing some of the hots and clips into place where we wanted them to go and were able to edit a part of the chorus.

Magazine advert final option

After creating two different Magazine adverts on canva we showed a number of people and received some audience feedback. We were told that they didn't like the font of the title as it didn't really fit with the genre or aesthetics of our music video, however we also learnt from our audience feedback that the writing in the first option covered to much our the image and in particular the artists face. Subsequently, we used the good aspects of both and combined them creating a magazine advert out target audience liked.

Magazine Advert options

Lauren and I created 2 different magazine adverts as part of our preliminary task. We used the online website 'canva'. This website was really useful as it allowed us to choose from a range of different templates, which we could then edit and adapt to create something in keeping with out music video. We created two to give us options and a larger range of choice. However after receiving audience feed back we were told one was too plain and simple and the other ones writing almost ruined the image. Therefore we will try and create another with similar ideas however also take on board our audience feedback.

Photo shoot

During our filming session we took a number of shots, which we intend to use for our website. These shots included images of Isadora dancing, as well as close ups of her face. Having done a lot of research into what makes an effective website, I realised how crucial good quality images were. However it was not only the quality but the layout on the website.

Filming

Over the weekend Lauren and I carried out another session of filming. Due to the problems we faced when we filming last we decided filming during the day would be more effective. This was firstly so there would be mo reflection in the windows and secondly so the lighting would not change as it got darker outside. We set up 4 cameras in different places across out filming space so when editing we can chose from a range of shots and angles- this is something we did not do last time which limited the number of effective shots we had. We did not only film in one space but we did a small amount of filming outside. As well as filming dance shots we did close ups of Isadora singing against a wall which we can later edit with a range of effects, including colour grading and split screen editing.
