Magazine Advert options

Lauren and I created 2 different magazine adverts as part of our preliminary task. We used the online website 'canva'. This website was really useful as it allowed us to choose from a range of different templates, which we could then edit and adapt to create something in keeping with out music video. We created two to give us options and a larger range of choice. However after receiving audience feed back we were told one was too plain and simple and the other ones writing almost ruined the image. Therefore we will try and create another with similar ideas however also take on board our audience feedback.

Practising split screen on final cut

Today Lauren and I learnt how to create a split screen, which is used in many music videos including Beyonce's 'Countdown' which we have taken a lot of our inspiration from. Before we tried to replicate a similar effect in our final music video, we though i would be a good idea to practice using both the software and editing techniques. This was a good idea as we had little idea how to create and will now have more experience when doing it in our music video 'What Now'. We first had to film the shot against a green screen and then upload it to Final Cut. We then applied the 'keyer' effect which allowed us to add a coloured background on top of the green screen.  Once we had applied the background to our green screen, we had to 'crop' and then 'transform' our clip.
